Possible Workshops and Sessions

PAWS, CLAWS, HANDS AND FEET

I would love to read PAWS, CLAWS, HANDS AND FEET to your class. I'll also share some interesting facts about animal appendages and engage students in a related craft.

An Editor's Eye

Speaking briefly about my experiences as a poetry editor for a magazine, I will take students through a step-by-step critiquing process with their stories. We'll discuss the important goal of developing the editor's objective eye.

Author's Corner

During this session, I will share several different possible publication opportunities for young people. We'll talk about writer's guidelines, cover letters and presenting our work professionally.

Word Wizards

I'll share my personal process for finding just the right words for my stories. Students will become word wizards as they successfully search for and find the perfect words for their own stories.

If you have something else in mind, email me. I'm happy to work with you to design just the right session/workshop for your group. Fees are dependent upon length of session, size of group and where you are located. Contact me for a quote. I look forward to hearing from you!
